Chapter3のプロジェクトについて開始。

Richardのレッスンではシティグループへのアブダビ投資庁からの資本
注入についてのArticleを説明した。

手元にまとめていた文章を一つ一つ添削してくれたので非常に勉強になり、
良かった。今まではSummaryを暗記して説明していたが、手元の文章を
説明する方がFeedbackも受けやすくて復習もしやすい。
前からこのようにすべきだった。

Citigroup was handed lifeline by an Abu Dhabi investment firm.The Abu Dhabi investment company gave $7.5bn cash to Citigroup.The monetary injection gives the investment company a 4.9% stake in Citigroup.There have been torouble in the US's housing market because of the house prices.Subprime mortgage meltdown.Citigroup suffered huge losses.
GS said Citigroup will suffere more than $15bn in losses.Stock prices have fallen 40% in the past four months.
The Abu Dhabi deal will boost Citigroup's balance sheet.Some analysts have cast doubt on the Citigroup's move.The Abu Dhabi goverment will receive 11% interest per year for the next three years.It shows how desperate Citigroup is.
The Abu Dhabi group's managing director said,"Citi is a highly respected company with premire brand.This investment reflects our confidence that Citigroup will build shareholder value."

I gave them responsibility for a new project.
They create a work plan,a budget,and a schedule.
They present their plan to the executives of the company.
The executives discuss the plan and ask questions.
The executives approve the plan and the budget.
They send weekly status reports to me.
They complete the projet.
They receive bonuses at the end of the year for their excellent work on the project.

How's the project going?
We're behind schedule.
How much?
Just a few days.
Can we still meet the deadline?
I don't know.
Can you give me an update by Friday?
Sure.By the way,I plan to work over on the weekend to catch up.
