ベルリッツ、27回目のレッスン。講師は前半がRichard、後半がRoss。
Chapter3のプロジェクトについて開始。
Richardのレッスンではシティグループへのアブダビ投資庁からの資本
注入についてのArticleを説明した。
手元にまとめていた文章を一つ一つ添削してくれたので非常に勉強になり、
良かった。今まではSummaryを暗記して説明していたが、手元の文章を
説明する方がFeedbackも受けやすくて復習もしやすい。
前からこのようにすべきだった。

前回に引き続きChapter3のプロジェクトについて。
初めての講師でなかなかテンポが合わず、最初はギクシャクとして
いた。後半になって、講師が意図していることが理解できるように
なり、スムーズなレッスンとなった。説明も丁寧で有意義だった。
後2回でベルリッツの30レッスンが終わると思うと寂しくなる。
来週はTOEICを受験予定、この半年のレッスンでどこまで語学力が
上達したか、楽しみだ。700点以上を目指したい。

口座の開設。非常にきれいな発音の英語を話す講師で、丁寧なレッ
スンは、わかりやすかった。
英語の学習は、まず「Listen & Repeat 」、その後に「Listen & Read 」と
いう順序で進めるのが効果的だとも教わった。

本日、BerlitzのBBCS無料体験セミナーを受講した。ビジネスの現場で
求められる英語でのコミュニケーションスキルを学ぶプログラムで、
「リーダーシップ」「ミーティング」「プレゼンテーション」「ネゴシエーション」の
4つのコア領域に対して、理論と実践を学べるコースである。
無料体験セミナーの内容は、コース概要の説明とミーティングの実践
だった。ミーティングの実践ではセミナー受講者間で、英語で自分の考
えを表明し、意見を誘導するというもので、浮かんだ言葉が英語として出
てこず、必死にだった。これだけ集中して英語で考えれば、かなり上達す
るだろうと思った。エキサイティングなセミナーだった。

TOEIC受験 新テスト2回目 ― 2007年12月14日
本日、TOEICを受験した。新形式になってから、今年の6月21日以来、
2回目だ。Berlitzのレッスンの成果を期待して試験に臨んだ。
写真描写問題の説明が非常に良く聞き取れた。やはり、ここ数ヶ月の
学習効果はあったと、嬉しく思っていると、いつのまにか問題の説明で
なく、試験が始まっていた。最初の2問で出遅れてしまった。
ボーッとしてなければ写真描写問題で80%は取れたと思う。
しかし、リーディングセクションでも確実に問題を消化することができた。
前回は時間内に全ての問題を消化できなかったが、今回は何とか
やり終えることができた。
受験後の感触は次の通り。

関西クラブ・ダービーズの2007-2008年シーズンの初ゲームに出場した。
鶴見緑地球技場にて、参丁目バーバリアンズと守口ダブルリングスとの
巴戦。15分1本のゲームを5本行い、そのうちの3本に出場した。

■前シーズンの課題
・走りきる体力をつける
→無理に、全ての局面を走るのではなく、メリハリをつけることが
できた、全体的な体力アップは課題
・ボールに身体を寄せる
→できなかった、味方に寄るコースが悪いのか、横ではなく縦から
はいるコースも考える必要がある
・低い姿勢でタックル
→低いタックルはできなかったが相手に正面から胸をあててタックル
できるようになった
・キックディフェンスでは事前に次の動きを考えておく、タッチ、ハイパント、
オープン、縦の判断を早くし、迷わない
→タッチを割る、セービングなど、早めの判断ができた。また、走ると
きに左右に迷うこともなかった
■今回の試合の反省点
・ポジショニングの悪さ
FBで出場時にハーフウェイセンター付近で、パントの目測を誤り、頭
上を越されてピンチを招いた
・タックルの失敗
ハーフウェイ付近からの相手の左オープン攻撃でウィングと1対1に
なったときに簡単に振り切られてしまい危うくトライを奪われそうに
なった。コース取りの悪さ、上がりの遅さ、スピードの遅さなどの要
因が複合している
・ルーズボールへの働きかけのまずさ
味方がタックルされた際にグランディングされているボールの働きか
けがうまくできなかった
簡単に相手にボールを奪取される、ラックでめくられる、FBで巻き込
まれノーフルバックとなる
・タックルされた後のキープ力の弱さ
簡単に相手側に向けられ、ボールを奪われた、モールを作れなかった
体力のなさ、接触プレーの弱さを痛感した、大学時代に戻るのは無理と
しても、もっと走れるようになりたい、うまくなりたい

だ。よくやり終えることができたと思う。
ちょっとした達成感と色々な講師とのコミュニケーションの機会がなくなる
という一抹の寂しさを感じた。
講師はRoss。前半のレッスンでは講師の質問が何を引き出そうとしてい
るか理解できず、ギクシャクした感じだったが、後半には良いテンポで
レッスンが進んだ。前回に引き続きChapter4のPersonal Finances。
